Total Triage

From 5th May 2026, we will be moving to a total triage system. This means all requests for appointments will first be reviewed by a clinician, who will ensure you are directed to the most appropriate care for your needs.
All appointment requests must be submitted via Anima, our online triage platform. You can access this in the following ways:
  • Online via our website
  • Through the NHS App
  • By phone, where Emma, our AI receptionist, can complete the form for you
Requests can be submitted Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 6:30pm.
If you are unable to complete the form, support is available at the surgery, including access to an iPad and assistance from our team.
What happens after you submit a request
Once your request has been reviewed by a clinician, you will be contacted with the most appropriate next steps. This may include:
  • A same-day or routine appointment
  • Advice to attend another NHS service (such as a pharmacy or urgent treatment centre)
  • Self-care guidance
We aim to ensure you are seen or advised in the most appropriate and timely way.
Information to include
To help us assess your request effectively, please provide as much detail as possible, including:
  • Your symptoms or concern
  • How long you have had the issue
  • Any changes or worsening of symptoms
  • Relevant medical history or medication
Urgent medical problems
If you have a medical emergency or life-threatening symptoms, please call 999 or attend A&E immediately.
For urgent but non-life-threatening concerns when the practice is closed, please contact NHS 111.
Why we are making this change
This system helps us prioritise patients based on clinical need, reduce waiting times, and ensure you are directed to the most appropriate healthcare professional as quickly as possible.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we introduce this new way of working.
Kind regards,
The Practice Team
